Disponibile l'aggiornamento di Ottobre con IPS Community Suite 4.6.7

Come già anticipato, adesso IP.Board rilascierà nuove aggiornamenti ogni mese, questo permetterà di rilasciare correzioni e aggiornamenti di sicurezza per tutti, senza dover passare da minor fix da effettuare con la funzione supporto.

Tra le note più importanti che possiamo trovare nell'aggiornamento 4.6.7 è:

• Zapier arriva anche su licenze Self-Host
• Arrivano le risposte rapide
• Possibilità di creare sezioni pubbliche nei club chiusi
• tanti fix generali
• Aggiornato il convertitore di XenForo 2.2
• La codifica del convetitore è passato da UTF8 a UTF8mb4

• Changed the default character set for conversion sessions from utf8 to utf8mb4.
• Fixed an issue importing attachments from XenForo if you had previously converted to XenForo from another platform.
• Fixed an error that could occur if the Converter tried to delete a content link.
• Fixed an issue where converted mentions may contain a static URL (breaking them if you change your domain).
• Fixed an issue with tag statistics immediately after a conversion.
• Fixed an issue with some topics not being hidden (but their posts were) after converting from vB5.

Pages

• Fixed an issue with the display of the Page Builder: Upload Images widget when used with a set block height.

Calendar

• Fixed an issue where deleting events would fail when called via the cron job.
• Fixed an issue with the profile field member filter where date fields would return false for group promotions.

Forums

• Fixed an issue where rebuilding a members content count could fail with broken Archived DB connection settings.

Downloads

• Fixed the broken "Buy" link inside file embeds.

Changes affecting third-party developers and designers

• Switched the parameter order for \IPS\convert\Library\Core::convertRssImported() (PHP8)

Invece no per due motivi:

1. Puoi scegliere di non rinnovare per 5 anni e quando vuoi riattivare la licenza paghi il rinnovo singolo e non tutti insieme, quindi non ha senso questo...
2. Questo aggiornamento contiene tantissimi fix e pure importanti, un aggiornamento mensile è pure fin troppo tempo senza aggiornamento. Una piattaforma grossa come questa ha bugfix continui. Io stesso sto riscontrando bug su bug e loro stanno lavorando per risolverli. Una piattaforma più grossa diventa e più è facile farsi scappare qualcosa.

Guardiamo le patch:

4.6.3 uscita il 2 luglio 2021

La 4.6.2 contiene anche un fix di sicurezza quindi importantissimo, ma la 4.6.3 uscita dopo una settimana, conteneva questi fix:

In grassetto ti ho messo i bugfix importanti, e questi sono uscito in una settimana... Ti immagini a un mese cosa esce? Ho clienti che non fanno tutti gli aggiornamenti nonostante abbiano la licenza attiva, ma fanno una selezione se gli interessa o meno, o se ha fix di sicurezza

Scusa ma hai detto tutto ed il contrario di tutto...
È normale che puoi rinnovare anche dopo 5 anni ma se rilasciavano fix di bug, non è che puoi stare 5 anni senza fissarli/aggiornare...

Dici? Ci sono persone che hanno grossi sistemi, che aggiornando il forum richiede un lavoro incredibile...Uno che me ne viene in mente adesso:
