Ciao a tutti, scrivo per ricevere assistenza sul come creare la home page del forum con l'applicazione Page, ho visto vari tutorial sul forum ufficiale ma purtroppo non ne sono venuto a capo ecco quindi che mi servirebbe un'aiutino.

Come prima cosa ho letto questa discussione:

 

If you have your community configured so that your IPS4 suite is inside a directory, such as site.com/forums/ and you wish to serve Pages from your domain root (that is site.com/) then please follow these instructions.

First, download this special index file ( index_rename.php ).

Upload it to your site's root folder (this is usually www or public_html) and rename it to 'index.php'

Open the file and find

define( 'PATH_TO_SUITE', './forums/' );

Change the path as appropriate. The comment above this line outlines that this is a path and not a URL and provides an example. (Note that if your suite is a 'forums' subfolder, you do not need to make any changes).

Log into your ACP and navigate to the Pages tab. Click on the "Advanced Settings" button.

 

 

This form allows you to select the site root URL from the select box. If you have your community multiple directories deep (such assite.com/content/forums) then the select box will allow you to choose from either site.com/content or site.com.

 

 

If you have friendly URLs on, and the mod_rewrite URLs enabled, then you are prompted to download a special .htaccess file that should be uploaded to the same location as the special index.php file.

Save the form and you will now have Pages URLs served from your site root.

Logins

After applying this, logins using the gateway file may not work properly. To fix this, you will need to create, or edit, a constants.php file in the root of your community installation (where conf_global.php, init.php, etc. are) with the following contents (excluding <?php if the file already exists):

Calcolando che ho il forum all'interno della cartella forum come devo compilare questo file index.php?

 

Successivamente volevo creare una Home Page simile a questa:

Seguendo questa guida ma non ne sono venuto a capo, come risolvo?

Come non detto, eliminate pure questo topic, sto cambiano dominio e piattaforma, scusate.

Ciao, il file che hai scaricato, dovevi solo modificare:

define( 'PATH_TO_SUITE', './forums/' );

cambiando forums con forum, rinominavi il file index_rename.php in index.php, e poi dall'admin settings facevi la modifica del gateway, purtroppo non l'ho ancora provato, siamo veramente presi nel terminare la traduzione e di ottimizzarla...

 

Come mai hai deciso di abbandonare IPB?

Al momento ho troppe spese e non riesco a starci dentro, nome dominio, server ecc..il dominio non lo rinnovo e dato che in concomitanza mi scade anche il servizio di hosting lascio cadere il tutto, per il momento la licenza di ipb la lascio in sospeso.....poi magari in un prossimo futuro posso sempre fare la migrazione
